published in 1934. Winslow was for many years a missionary in India and the book has a foreword by the Metropolitan of India, himself a believer in the Oxford Group. Many of the ideas and ideals of Alcoholics Anonymous came straight from the Oxford Group and can be seen in this small work.

Crossroads of the Spirit by Barbara Noreen
An excellent study of the Christa Seva Sangh Ashram in Pune and the striking men (Jack Winslow, Verrier Elwin, Father Algy, Bishop Lash, etc.) who founded and sustained it. Not a romantic account but a factual portrayal of one of the striking experiments in Indian mission history.
