Prohibition Prescription for Alcohol

U.S. Government Treasury Department Issued

Form is Dated 1922

Wonderful Display Item

What happened when you couldn't get to the speakeasy, buy a pint of bathtub gin, or didn't know the local bootlegger? Well... you could obtain a prescription for a drink for medicinal purposes from your doctor and get it filled at your local drug store. There were many ways of working around the 18th Amendment but this was the only legal one.. Very official. Each one has been successfully used and you can bet the previous owner didn't keep the medicine around on the shelf long. (Actual size is 6-3/4 x 4-1/2 - no printing on the back of certificate).
